Azerbaijan said it carried out a military operation in response to the shelling of Armenia
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan stated that it carried out a military operation on the border with Armenia. The department reported this on its official website.
It is clarified that on February 13th, units of the Azerbaijani border service, in response to yesterday’s provocation of the Armenian Armed Forces, carried out a “retaliation operation.”
“During this operation, a combat post of the Armenian Armed Forces was completely destroyed, which was located near the settlement from where yesterday the Armenian Armed Forces fired at the positions of the troops of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan,” the department noted.
According to information from the Azerbaijani side, the day before, an Azerbaijani serviceman was wounded as a result of shelling from the Armenian Armed Forces.
