What is the risk of confiscation?
Changes are made to Part 1 of Art. 104.1 CC. Now this article specifies the norms of the Criminal Code, for which there is a risk of confiscation of money, jewelry and other property. The list of articles of the Criminal Code is expanding. Confiscation will also occur when crimes are committed under Art. 207.3 (public dissemination of fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) and Art. 280.4 (public calls for activities directed against the security of the state), as well as for “activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation, by committing at least one of the crimes provided for in the note to Art. 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.” There are 24 such articles, among them Art. 284.1 (carrying out the activities of an undesirable organization), Art. 338 (desertion) and Art. 359 (mercenarism).
