The Moscow prosecutor’s office reported on its Telegram channel that the Simonovsky Court of Moscow decided to place Tajik blogger Salmon Rajabzoda, who published videos online in which he humiliated Russian girls, under house arrest.
The investigation of the case was under control of the Simonov interdistrict prosecutor’s office.
On January 7, the press service of the capital’s Investigative Committee reported that the blogger was detained and a criminal case was opened against him under the article “Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity.”
However, then on January 9, the Simonovsky Court of Moscow refused to satisfy the investigation’s request to select a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the detainee. After this, the Simonov interdistrict prosecutor’s office filed an appeal and the decision of the first instance court to refuse to take Radjabzoda into custody was overturned by the Moscow City Court and the material was transferred for a new consideration.
