The Croatian capital Zagreb hosted the United World Wrestling rating tournament, where Russian Alina Kasabieva managed to win bronze.
During the tournament, the athlete from Simferopol defeated Jia Long from China and the Nigerian Esther Kolavale, but, alas, the Kyrgyz AisuluuTynybekova, whom Alina had previously defeated, turned out to be stronger this time. She ended up taking first place.
Having lost in the quarterfinals, the Crimean woman entered the “consolation” tournament, the participants of which fought for the bronze medal. The Russian defeated her opponent from China, but her next opponent, the Japanese, was unable to compete on the mat due to injury. Thus, Alina returned to Simferopol with bronze.
