The Moscow prosecutor’s office recalled the responsibility for participation in illegal actions. The department pointed to the distribution of calls to join public actions in Moscow on the network.

“These mass events have not been coordinated with the executive authorities in the manner prescribed by law,” says in a post on the department’s website.

In addition, the prosecutor’s office noted that the dissemination of calls on social networks to participate in illegal activities is also punishable by law. For this, they can be held administratively liable under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the established procedure for organizing a rally) and under Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The maximum punishment for citizens under these articles is a fine of 300,000 rubles.

Also, such actions may face criminal liability under Art. 151 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (involving a minor in the commission of antisocial acts), art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fakes about the army) and Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mass riots). The most severe punishment comes under the last article – the maximum sanction is 15 years in prison.

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the citizens of Russia. The president announced on partial mobilization. Also Peskov clarifiedthat in the near future the government of the Russian Federation will determine the categories of citizens who will be able to receive a deferment from partial mobilization.
