In the main fight of Friday evening, the duel of 51-year-old Monson and 42-year-old Datsik was listed, which lasted all three rounds.
From the first minutes of the confrontation, Datsik tried to drop Monson with a somersault. But the “Snowman” (Monson’s nickname) got away from this technique twice – in the first and in the third rounds. And then 51-year-old Jeff laid “Tarzan” (Datsik’s nickname) on canvas and only a two-minute round format did not allow him to win.
Vyacheslav in the second and third rounds no longer allowed himself such liberties and drove his age counterpart all over the cage. The blows to the head and body were impressive. And in the final two minutes, the incredibly fat Datsik threw the BJJ black belt over himself. Here it seemed that the battle was over.
But “Tarzan” for some reason “merged”, and just reached the siren, stroking the “Snowman” like a young lady. And then something even stranger happened: Datsik gave Monson a chance for a takedown through the passage to the legs. Jeff was desperately chasing Vyacheslav, who cowardly ran away. As a result, the judges put up the same 29-28 in favor of Tarzan. Datsik’s victory in the class, although it is very ambiguous …
Well, Nikolai Chibisov and Andrey Ushu-Master Efimov were the first to enter the octagon. The duel between them took place according to rather intricate rules, which strongly resembled those in bare-knuckle fights. It turned out something like a “Mexican salad”. The fighters furiously “bludgeoned” each other for three rounds. Chibisov was especially successful in this case, who won by unanimous decision of the judges.
Next came the turn of bloggers Svyatoslav Kovalenko and Sasha Stone. It quickly became clear that Kovalenko was superior to Stone in both size and physical strength. Both bloggers often took the fight to the ground, where over and over again Kovalenko ended up on top. In the second round, he caught the enemy in a grip and held a choke hold, forcing Stone to surrender.
Brazilian fighter Fernando Rodriguez, who talks a lot and most often not on business, had to answer for his long tongue in the octagon in a duel with Gadzhi “Automatic”. In the first round, the Brazilian failed to oppose anything to the Russian. But what happened next showed that a guest from a distant continent can do more than just talk. The judges gave the victory to the Brazilian by a split decision.
After the end of the fight evening, Monson did not look upset and told reporters that Datsik could become an MMA champion in the future.
