Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the referendums in the Donbass are of great importance for the systemic protection of the inhabitants of the LPR, DPR and other territories taken under control and for “restoring historical justice.” About this he wrote in your Telegram channel.

According to the politician, such referendums completely change the vector of Russia’s development for decades. He stressed that as a result of their implementation and the acceptance of new territories into the Russian Federation, the “geopolitical transformation” in the world will become irreversible. As Medvedev clarified, an encroachment on Russian territory is a crime, the commission of which makes it possible to use all the forces of self-defense.

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council noted that it is no less important that as a result of amendments to the country’s Constitution, “not a single future leader of Russia, not a single official will be able to reverse these decisions.” According to Medvedev, it is in connection with this that such referendums are “feared” in Ukraine and in the West.
