The Brazilian suspected of spying in Norway turned out to be Russian

According to a Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang (VG), a Brazilian suspected of espionage detained last October in Norway admitted that he is in fact a Russian. Earlier, Norwegian media reported the arrest of Jose Assis Jamarria, a Brazilian researcher who worked at the University of Tromsø. However, police said that he is in fact a Russian spy conducting intelligence activities in Norway.
At the trial in Oslo, the detainee officially presented his real name – Mikhail Valerievich Mikushin. He has been charged with harming the national interests of Norway and the security of other states. A court in Norway may sentence a Russian to three years in prison.
In addition, Finland previously sent a petition to the district court to extend the detention of Russian citizen Vojislav Torden (formerly known as Jan Petrovsky), whose extradition was demanded by Ukraine.
The US Secretary of State said that Russia and China pose the most serious threat to world order at present.
