Retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov commented on reports that investigators from the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport had opened a criminal case under the article “Terrorist act” on the fact of an explosion and fire of a train in the Severomuysky tunnel on BAM, which occurred on November 29. At the same time, earlier the CNN channel, citing sources, reported that SBU officers carried out sabotage in the tunnel.
“In carrying out sabotage, Ukraine has long moved onto Russian territory,” Mikhailov noted in interview News.ru. According to him, if previously the Ukrainian special services carried out sabotage mainly on the territory of the DPR and LPR, today they are doing this in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions and are moving deeper into Russia.
The FSB general explained that the SBU is not pursuing military goals so much as it wants to demonstrate that Ukraine is present “in the zone of Russian interests.”
At the same time, Mikhailov drew attention, sabotage is carried out against the civilian population, and even Great Britain and the United States have already begun to regret inviting Ukrainian agents for internships.
