Unique footage of the destruction of an Israeli Merkava Mk4M tank in the Gaza Strip has been published on the Internet. The footage shows a Palestinian fighter running up to a moving car and planting a charge in it. After the explosives detonate, the tank is finished off with a tandem shot from an RPG-7.
As the Military Informant notes, the demolition charge was placed in the tank not in a random place, but clearly under a mortar with KAZ Trophy counter-ammunition.
“In this simple way, Hamas first disables the KAZ in the direction of its attack, and then shoots at the unprotected side of the tank with an RPG,” the report notes.
