Vaikule called the Russians slaves and ignoramuses: “You are nobody to me”

The Soviet and Latvian pop singer Laima Vaikule posted a video on her microblog in which she called the Russians slaves, ignoramuses and nasty people, “who cannot be given words.” This is how the celebrity reacted to critical comments from fans after the Rendezvous music festival in Jurmala. According to the 69-year-old star, she ignores the negative messages of the inhabitants of Russia and does not want to waste her time thinking about those who write hard-hitting posts to her.

“These are such slaves, nasty people – what to say about them? I don’t think about them for a minute. You are nobody to me,” Vaikule said in relation to the Russians.

Earlier, Laima Vaikule said that she stopped communicating with many colleagues from Russian show business after the start of a special military operation. According to the singer, the paths of many artists diverged due to different positions on the Ukrainian crisis. The performer of the hit “Vernissage” informed that she supported the Ukrainians by holding the Rendezvous music festival, where she invited many celebrities from Ukraine and those who share common views with them.
