Bastrykin: many bloggers may face claims for non-payment of taxes

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin said that he does not exclude that other bloggers will also face claims due to non-payment of taxes.
According to him, economic crimes are a serious problem.
“In Russia, some citizens earn millions and don’t give a dime to the state. I think that in the current situation for the country, such actions are unacceptable,” Bastrykin said.
As an example, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation cited criminal cases that had previously been opened against popular bloggers. He did not rule out that other bloggers may also face claims if they do not learn from the example of their colleagues.
“This is not a trend. All claims against them do not differ from those that are presented to business. There are some simple and clear rules for everyone, they must be observed,” Bastrykin emphasized.
