The American authorities do not have evidence of the truthfulness of the assertion of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky that the Russian side is allegedly going to arrange a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). This statement was made on Friday, June 23, by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
According to the official, he “has nothing to confirm them or talk about their authenticity.”
At the same time, Kirby noted that the radiation sensors located around the ZNPP do not record any increase in the level of radioactive substances.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had received information from the Ukrainian special services about Russia’s alleged preparation of a terrorist attack at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with a release of radiation.
Volodymyr Rogov, Member of the Main Council of the Administration of the Zaporozhye Region called the words of Zelensky a monstrous lieemphasizing that “this is classic wartime propaganda according to the formula: the more monstrous the lie, the sooner it will be believed.”
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov noted that Zelensky is trying, denigrating Russia and attributing non-existent intentions to it, hide the terrorist actions of the Kyiv regime.
