LDPR nominates Boris Chernyshov as candidate for Moscow mayor – Kommersant

The Moscow branch of the Liberal Democratic Party nominated the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov as a candidate for the election of the mayor of Moscow. The corresponding decision was made at the branch conference today, June 21.
“According to the results of the secret ballot, Chernyshov’s candidacy won a sufficient number of votes,” said Egor Anisimov, chairman of the counting commission (quoted by TASS).
Boris Chernyshov is 32 years old. He also holds the post of deputy head of the supreme council of the Liberal Democratic Party.
By decision of the Moscow City Duma, the election of the mayor of the city was scheduled for a single voting day – September 10. The Moscow Electoral Commission later expanded voting by three days, from 8 to 10 September. Party “New People” put forward candidate of the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov. United Russia nominated the incumbent mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
