At the end of 2022, the share of enterprises operating on the market for more than five years reached 58.6%, which was the maximum over the past six years. In absolute terms, their number increased by 1.4% (21.6 thousand), to 1.52 million. At the same time, the share of younger companies dropped to a minimum of 41.4%, according to FinExpertiza.

Calculations are based on Rosstat business demography statistics. The sample included actually functioning enterprises whose turnover and average number of employees exceed zero values.

Most companies older than five years were recorded in Komi (73.2%), Kaliningrad (72.9%), Arkhangelsk (71.4%), Volgograd (70.9%) and Vladimir (70.9%) regions, Khanty -Mansi Autonomous Okrug (70.4%), Bryansk (70.3%), Murmansk (70.3%), Sakhalin (69.4%) and Kostroma (69.1%) regions. The least number of such enterprises is in Ingushetia (43.8%), Chechnya (46.2%), Buryatia (47.4%), Moscow (49.8%), Tatarstan (50.6%), Smolensk region (51 .7%), Tyva (53.5%), Lipetsk region (53.7%), Kalmykia (54.1%) and Vologda region (55.1%).

Among industries, especially many companies older than five years are noted in the field of real estate (operations with real estate; 76.8%), agriculture (74%), energy (supply of electricity, gas and steam, air conditioning; 70.8%), personal services (65.9%), as well as in finance and insurance (65%). Less than half of such companies were identified only in the construction industry (48.4%).

FinExpertiza notes that the age structure of the business differs depending on the geography. Companies older than five years occupy the largest share in the Komi Republic (73.2%, there are about 6.5 thousand in total in the region), Kaliningrad (72.9%, 21.2 thousand), Arkhangelsk (71.4%, 8 .4 thousand), Volgograd (70.9%, 15.5 thousand) and Vladimir (70.9%, 12.3 thousand) regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (70.4%, 15.3 thousand .), Bryansk (70.3%, 7.3 thousand), Murmansk (70.3%, 6.6 thousand), Sakhalin (69.4%, 6.5 thousand) and Kostroma (69.1 %, 6.1 thousand) regions. A smaller share of such companies is in Ingushetia (43.8%, or 1.6 thousand), Chechnya (46.2%, 3.1 thousand), Buryatia (47.4%, 6.6 thousand) and Moscow (49.8%, 260.5 thousand).
