Expert: attempts to trick the human metabolism will lead to unsightly results
Toxicologist Mikhail Kutushov explained “Gazete.Ru”that many popular methods of losing weight can lead to very serious health problems, many of which, among other things, will affect the appearance.
First of all, the expert mentioned special “slimming drugs”, noting that they really burn fat, but as a side effect they can have a fatal outcome, which, as a rule, is not included in the plans of losing weight.
Kutushov called the next dangerous type of self-experimentation “Biohacking”. In this case, we are usually talking about a hard change in diet, which “hacks” the normal mechanisms of metabolism.
“It is often suggested to drink only mineral water and other liquids. Naturally, the weight will decrease, but at the same time, metabolism, digestion, immunity, liver, yellow bladder, and so on are seriously affected, ”recalls the toxicologist.
Another type of dangerous and senseless experiments, according to the expert, are the so-called diets by the name of the products (buckwheat, chocolate, etc.). In fact, not only will they not bring any benefit to the body, but they will not help to lose weight without unpleasant side effects. “The quality of your skin and your health will leave much to be desired,” Kutushov warned, noting that all of the above applies to the lemon and water diets, as well as the “low-calorie” one.
