Numbers are not enough, motivation is needed // Only fashion for digitalization cannot achieve productivity growth
[ad_1]
Digitalization is not a universal tool for improving business efficiency – only the targeted use of digital technologies brings growth in total factor productivity (TFP), showed the work of economists published on the website of the World Economic Forum. Using a large panel of balance sheet data from European companies, the authors show that not all firms are becoming more productive as a result of increased investment in digital technologies. Such investments stimulate productivity growth mainly in companies that are already relatively more productive than their competitors.
