“Karelian Gunsmiths” won the first match of the season

“Karelian gunsmiths” started the game season with a victory over Cherepovets “Rhinos”, told in “Sport is the norm of life in Karelia”. The Karelian team started its first match of the season in the Second League of the Russian American Football Championship with a score of 50:28.

Last year Karelian Gunsmiths played in the first league and even won bronze medals. This year they will fight with teams from the Vologda region and St. Petersburg. “Such a decision will allow us to take half a step back in terms of sports in order to take two steps forward in the future,” explained Yuri Kushnir, president of the Karelian American Football Federation, when he moved to the second league.
