A document was posted on the portal of legal information, according to which the Government of the Russian Federation canceled the decision to increase the period of stay in Russia for Ukrainians who “live in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.”
It is specified that the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2018 No. 1744 has become invalid. This happened because the given decision has now become irrelevant.
Recall that in February last year, the Russian Federation recognized the independence of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. A little later, in September, the LPR and DPR, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions became part of Russia.
