G7 announces $39bn financial aid to Ukraine in 2023

Following the talks that ended on February 23 in Bangalore, India, the heads of the Ministries of Finance and Central Banks of the Group of Seven countries adopted a resolution according to which the G7 will allocate about $40 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine in 2023.
“For 2023, we have increased our budgetary and economic support commitments to $39 billion,” the G7 final document says.
It is specified that this amount will be allocated “in accordance with the needs of the government of Ukraine.”
