On the basis of Rostec enterprises, reconnaissance and strike copters are being created that can strike at the enemy as part of a swarm of drones, said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the state corporation. According to him, the development of devices is carried out to meet the needs of the military operation in Ukraine.
“Small tactical copters are also being created that are capable of conducting reconnaissance, automatically detecting the enemy and directing artillery. They can drop grenades and strike as part of a swarm. This technique has significantly changed the nature of hostilities. Both we and the Ministry of Defense understand this. We are working closely on this issue,” said Mr. Chemezov (quoted by RIA Novosti).
According to the general director of Rostec, Lancet attack drones developed by the Russian company ZALA (part of the Kalashnikov concern) are already being used “intensely and very effectively” in the combat zone.
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) “Lancet” can hit targets within a radius of up to 40 km, the maximum takeoff weight is 12 kg, it is equipped with several types of guidance systems.
December 31, 2022 Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed approve the strategy for the development of unmanned aircraft until 2030. In accordance with the instructions of the President, by April 1, the government must approve the plan for the state civil order for domestic drones, taking into account the increase in the supply of civilian and special-purpose UAVs.
