First Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Gorovoy said that during the election period (March 15, 16 and 17), law enforcement agencies opened 61 criminal cases and drew up more than 150 administrative protocols. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs did not reveal any violations affecting the course or results of the voting.

“155 administrative protocols have been drawn up, 61 criminal cases have been initiated,” said a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, speaking at the Central Election Commission. According to him, most of the cases are under the article on a deliberately false act of terrorism (23 cases) and obstruction of the exercise of the rights of voters (21 cases).

He noted that the internal affairs bodies did not identify any violations of the election legislation that could directly affect the election results.
