19FortyFive: Ukrainian conflict will end after NATO accepts Russian security guarantees

The Ukrainian conflict will come to an end if the NATO countries accept the proposal of French President Emmanuel Macron on the issue of providing the Russian Federation with security guarantees. This assumption was put forward by 19FortyFive columnist Jack Buckby.
“If Macron’s proposal is taken seriously by other NATO leaders, it could end the conflict in Ukraine,” the journalist wrote in his material.
According to him, one of the guarantees of security may also be the refusal of Finland and Sweden to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
Macron has previously said Europe should give Russia security guarantees, citing Russian President Vladimir Putin as saying NATO is moving closer to Russia’s borders by deploying weapons that could threaten. According to the French leader, when the parties return to the negotiating table, this issue may become one of the points of reconciliation.
