The American publication 19fortyfive reported that after Sweden joins the North Atlantic Alliance, Turkey will receive significant benefits and will be able to paralyze the work of NATO.
According to the authors of the publication, at the moment the situation is turning into a disaster.
“Turkish representatives used their presence in the alliance to paralyze the work of this institution and to benefit from their de facto veto power,” the authors of the publication note.
According to journalists, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and adviser Jake Sullivan want to give Ankara the opportunity to paralyze the EU and thereby “undermine its democratic direction” in order to remove the veto from Turkey.
