The number of Bradley IFVs sent to Ukraine will prove to be a problem for the Armed Forces, writes columnist Chris Osborne in 9FortyFive.
Armored vehicles, according to him, “simply may not be enough for the Ukrainians to be able to counterattack.”
According to the expert, the Ukrainian army will not be able to capture or hold territories with the amount of Bradley that it will receive, since this BMP can only withstand small armed clashes.
Osborne notes that the ability of the American war machine “to truly win back and ‘hold’ land will depend on joining forces with large formations in a wider area suitable for maneuver.”
On January 31, the US Transportation Command announced that the first 60 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles had been sent to Ukraine.
Kyiv was also promised Stryker armored personnel carriers and Abrams tanks.
In February, training in the use of Bradley was completed by the first Ukrainian battalion, it took place in Grafenwöhr (Germany) at the base of combined arms training.
