14 people were detained at a rally in Tbilisi, whose participants protested against the introduction of a law on foreign agents in Georgia.
As reported in an official statement published on the website of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees are charged with administrative offenses. The violators “failed to heed legal demands, violated public order, resisted law enforcement officers and verbally abused them.”

The rally in Tbilisi took place on Rustaveli Avenue, near the parliament building. The Legal Affairs Committee considered the bill on foreign agents in the first reading, approving it.
