The Russian payment system Zolotaya Korona does not conduct transactions with cards of a number of banks. This was reported to RBC in the Golden Crown. Previously, customers complained about problems with transfers using Tinkoff, Sberbank and Alfa-Bank cards, which fell under sanctions.
“When making cross-border transfers, we are forced to be guided by the requirements of partners that pay transfers directly in other countries, settlement banks and our own compliance division, which boil down to unwillingness to carry out transactions in violation of the sanctions regimes of third countries,”— informed press service of the Golden Crown.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Bereke bank stopped issuing cash from Mir cards of Russian banks that fell under US sanctions, and also suspended transfers to Russia by phone number. February 24 US Treasury introduced sanctions against several Russian banks: MKB, Uralsib Bank, MTS Bank and others. February 25 under EU sanctions hit Alfa-Bank, Tinkoff and Rosbank.
