The Yaroslavl Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) brought a restaurateur to administrative liability for advertising a karaoke bar “Ad” because of insulting the feelings of believers. About it reported department press office.
Karaoke bar “Ad” opened in the center of Yaroslavl in the spring. The restaurateur invited guests to a “real Satan’s ball”, used emoticons in the form of a devil, a combination of red and black colors, which evokes associations with Satanism, the press service of the antimonopoly authority specifies.
“The case materials contain explanations from a member of the Council for the State Religious Expertise under the Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Yaroslavl Region, according to which the materials posted by the advertiser can offend the feelings of believing Christians, regardless of their denomination,” the Yaroslavl OFAS reported.
The restaurateur was issued a warning for the distribution of such advertising, as the administrative violation was committed for the first time. Now the bar is called AntiDepressant (AD). Due to public outcry after the opening, the nightclub was temporarily closed and opened under a new name.
