Yandex returned to the deal to purchase eLama advertising technologies – Kommersant

Yandex (MOEX: YNDX) announced that it plans to close the deal to purchase the technology platform of the eLama advertising service in the summer of 2024. The deal itself was announced back in January 2022, however, as Yandex clarified to Kommersant, the deal was adjusted “due to a combination of market factors.”
“Certain technical and legal improvements were required, which allowed us to maintain the main essence of the deal,” Yandex said. The company did not disclose current or original terms of the deal.
eLama positions itself as an automation system for managing contextual advertising for small and medium-sized businesses; the company also offers advertising agency services. As a result of the transaction, the technology platform and its team should go to Yandex; the platform is planned to be finalized “with the help of Yandex technologies.” The company assured that the platform will work with existing clients on the same terms, and the eLama service as a whole “will be able to attract new clients and scale the business.”
