Yandex rebranded Delivery Club – Kommersant

The delivery service Delivery Club changed its name to “Market Delivery”. With the help of the service, it will be possible to order not only food, but also other goods, in particular, electronics, cosmetics and household chemicals. The rebranding was announced by the press service of Yandex, which bought Delivery Club in September 2022.
Now in the “Market Delivery” you can order products of the brands re:Store, Xiaomi, Samsung, Tefal, Togas Group. 50 retailers work with the service, but by the end of June, the figure is expected to double, reports Adindex.
After the completion of the rebranding, as the company noted, the service retained the main elements of the visual style of Delivery Club — the green color and the image of a running ostrich. At the same time, the main color of the uniform of couriers changed from green to yellow, like the Yandex Food deliveries – branded Yandex.
Delivery Club was previously part of the O2O Holding joint venture between Sberbank and VK. In August 2022, VK announced its exit from the joint venture and the purchase of Delivery Club for the further exchange of the asset for Yandex resources – Zen and News. Now 99.95% of Delivery Club LLC belongs directly to Yandex, the remaining 0.05% belongs to GIS Technologies LLC, which is associated with the IT holding.
Sources of “Kommersant” reportedthat the reason for the decision to rebrand was the unprofitability of Delivery Club. The revenue of Delivery Club LLC at the end of 2022 amounted to 17.3 billion rubles, the loss was 7.1 billion rubles. The application for registration of the trademark “Market Delivery” was filed in mid-May.
