Yandex re-registered application development in Serbia – Kommersant

The Yandex representative did not clarify for the publication exactly when the provider change occurred and what it was connected with. He stated that “changes across applications have occurred gradually over the last half of the year.”
The main legal entity of the company in Serbia is Yandex.Technologies Belgrade. According to the BBC, Yandex opened its first office in Belgrade in the summer of 2022. In June 2023, Yandex confirmed the opening of a second office in Serbia.
In November 2022, it became known about plans to separate Yandex’s Russian and international business assets, led by the Dutch company Yandex NV. At the end of October this year, the company received permission from the government commission for the control of foreign investments for the internal restructuring of the group.
As the agency reported in November Reuters citing sources, the Dutch Yandex NV plans to sell the entire Russian business. Sources estimated the deal at $5-6.18 billion, or 560 billion rubles, taking into account a 50% discount on the sale of foreign assets.
