Yandex Go has completed localization in Uzbekistan – Kommersant

Taxi service Yandex Go completed its localization in Uzbekistan by December 1, becoming a tax resident of the republic. Thus, the service will now pay all required taxes. In addition, Yandex will become the first online service on the market to provide travel receipts.

“Yandex Go fulfills the requirements set by the tax committee to bring its activities into compliance with the law,” the tax committee of Uzbekistan reported in Telegram channel.

Yandex Go operates in Uzbekistan as a legal entity, YandexGo UB LLC. The service has also been integrated with the fiscal data operator. Two more taxi services in Uzbekistan were also integrated with the operator – the local MyTaxi and the Ukrainian Uklon.

In early October, the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan threatened to block Yandex Go if the aggregator was not localized in the republic by December. It was about registration as a tax resident for paying taxes, as well as integration with the information system of the tax authorities.

Yandex Go is one of the largest online taxi services in Uzbekistan. The service has been operating there since April 2018. According to information from the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, more than 80 thousand drivers in Uzbekistan are connected to the service.
