X Corp. received licenses for payment transactions in several US states

Corporation X Elon Musk received licenses for the right to conduct payment transactions with currencies or money in seven US states, reports coindesk. This process has been going on for several months, and the company received its last license this week from the Rhode Island authorities.
According to the publication, X Corp. began obtaining licenses from the beginning of the summer and since June managed to obtain permits for conducting payment transactions in Arizona, Maryland, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and New Hampshire. At the same time, the license issued this week by the authorities of Rhode Island allows the company to conduct transactions not only with dollars or other national currencies, but also with cryptocurrencies.
On the intention of Elon Musk to introduce his own payment system into the social network X (then Twitter) reported back in November 2022. Mr. Musk stated this during a meeting with advertisers, which took place on November 9 last year. At the same time, the company filed an official application for the registration of Twitter as a payment operator.
