The Lesta Game company, which owns the MMO World of Tanks, World of Ships and Tanks Blitz, stated that it is not involved in fundraising in support of Ukraine. The company emphasized that it has no relation to World of Tanks.
“Our projects are outside of politics and we have no relation to other games and projects of similar themes,” noted press service companies.
Today, October 18, an announcement appeared on the website of the online game World of Tanks, calling for the purchase of special gaming equipment. The company reported that all proceeds from the sale will be used to help Ukraine, namely to purchase class C ambulances. These ambulances are equipped with defibrillators, cardiac monitors, oxygen cylinders and ventilators.
In March 2022, the Belarusian company Wargaming, developer of the games World of Tanks, World of Warships, WoT Blitz, transferred the Russian and Belarusian business to Lesta Games. The Russian company renamed the games “World of Tanks”, “World of Ships” and “Tanks Blitz”. In April 2022, Wargaming statedwhich is no longer associated with Lesta Game.
