Due to police checks at the Wildberries sorting center in Elektrostal near Moscow, 8 thousand employees cannot start work. Sellers face serious losses, the amount of which could reach 1 billion rubles, the company’s press service said.
“Due to an inspection by law enforcement agencies, more than 8 thousand people employed at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal cannot start work. Hundreds of thousands of sellers’ products are not shipped to customers. This situation threatens billions of losses for entrepreneurs during the high season,” explained representatives of the marketplace (quoted from “RIA News”). The company clarified that Wildberries management is in constant contact with police representatives, but so far it has not been possible to normalize work, the inspection continues.
Today, November 24, the police began conducting a raid at the Wildberries sorting warehouse in Elektrostal near Moscow. The inspection of warehouse workers is related to illegal migration, a TASS source reports. It is noted that similar operations are carried out in several regions of Russia. According to the Mash Telegram channel, police also check the men’s passports and military service records. It is noted that women’s documents are not checked, and they are not allowed into the warehouse.
