Wildberries announced the completion of a police check at the marketplace’s logistics center in Elektrostal, Moscow Region. Now the warehouse operation is “normalizing”.
“The verification of documents from performers at the site in Elektrostal has been completed, the specialists are returning to their jobs. To normalize work, additional forces are being brought into the logistics center,” said the Wildberries press service (quoted from RIA Novosti). They noted that the company will additionally notify sellers about the full restoration of normal operation.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs near Moscow has not yet commented on the completion of the inspection at the Wildberries warehouse.
Earlier, Wildberries reported that the police examination in a warehouse in Elektrostal, which began on the morning of November 24, brought to the fact that 8 thousand marketplace employees could not start work, and possible losses for sellers are estimated at 1 billion rubles.
According to information TASS, the inspection of warehouse workers was related to illegal migration. It is noted that similar operations were carried out at the company’s facilities in several regions of Russia. According to the Mash Telegram channel, the police also checked the men’s passports and military service marks. It is noted that women’s documents are not checked, and they are not allowed into the warehouse.
