Prosecutor General’s Office reported, which completed the inspection of Wildberries. According to the department, as part of the audit, the company changed about 20 provisions regulating the relationship between the marketplace, sellers and buyers.
Among the changes:
- the buyer is not obliged to check the quality of the goods upon receipt, and the date of return of the product is determined by the moment of its refusal;
- the delivery time of goods can be extended only by agreement with the consumer;
- the buyer has the right to refuse purchased products, including technically complex devices;
- The period for considering a claim for replacement of goods has been reduced.
In addition, Wildberries is testing new software functionality that allows you to cancel an order through your personal account. Approximate dates for introducing this function are not given.
The Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that the possibility of compensation for the costs of returning goods of proper quality “remains only in certain cases.” These include a low share of redemption by the buyer, significant transportation distances, as well as “features of the goods” (large, fragile, unclaimed).
Prosecutor General’s Office started verification of Wildberries on October 12 due to the introduction of commissions by the marketplace for paying for goods with Visa and Mastercard cards. The next day Wildberries canceled commissions. The Moscow prosecutor’s office also initiated inspection of the marketplace due to a conflict between the retailer and sellers.
About the claims against the company – in the Kommersant FM material “Wildberries withdrew the commission”.
