What is Alexander Neradko, fired from the post of head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, famous for?

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin dismissed Alexander Neradko from the post of head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation). What he is known for is in the Kommersant certificate.

Born on April 4, 1961 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers (now MSTU GA) in 1984. Since 1985, he has worked in engineering and management positions at the Vnukovo Civil Aviation Production Association, Gosavianadzor, the Interstate Aviation Committee, as well as in the federal civil aviation authorities.

Since 1997 – Head of the State Flight Safety Supervision Department of the Federal Aviation Service of the Russian Federation (then – the Federal Air Transport Service of the Russian Federation). In 2000–2004 – head of the State Civil Aviation Service of the Russian Federation, first deputy minister of transport. In 2004–2005, he was the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport. In 2005–2009, he headed the Federal Air Navigation Service.

In 2009, he was appointed head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation). A year later, he carried out transformations of the agency, changing the organizational structure and firing some of his deputies.

In 2017 after collapse airline “VIM-Avia” The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation invited the head of the Ministry of Transport to consider the issue of Alexander Neradko’s suitability for the position held. Requests for his resignation due to violations of air legislation have been repeatedly received from the Ministry of Transport.

In March 2020, he became the first deputy minister of transport, retaining the position of head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, but a year later, in January 2021, he was relieved of his new post.

In May 2022, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev invited Alexander Neradko to leave the post of head of the Federal Air Transport Agency after criticism from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

In February 2023, at a gala evening on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Russian civil aviation, he was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree.
