VTB will start issuing mortgages from the age of 18 with a work experience of three months

VTB Bank has lowered the age threshold for issuing a mortgage loan. Now a mortgage in VTB can be issued not from the age of 21, but from the age of 18. In addition, VTB has softened the requirements for seniority for mortgage approval: from now on, three months of experience will be enough instead of six months.

“From today, we are lowering the minimum age for obtaining a mortgage to 18 years. According to our data, such clients are ready to start an independent life and already have savings, which demonstrates their financial discipline,” said Sergey Babin, head of the Mortgage Lending Department at VTB, his words are quoted in press release credit organization.

Sergey Babin believes that young people at the age of 18 will be able to get a mortgage, for example, with the support of their parents. He also noted that in July the average deposit amount of VTB depositors in the age period of 18-21 years amounted to 388 thousand rubles.

Since the beginning of the year, VTB Bank has issued 135,000 mortgages. The total amount of mortgage loans issued over the seven months amounted to 675 billion rubles. This is a third more than in the same period in 2022.

Young people aged 18 can also take out a mortgage from Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, Metallinvestbank, MKB, Uralsib, Ak Bars, Bank Saint Petersburg, and Levoberezhny Bank.
