VTB lifted limits on cash transactions at ATMs for customers of other banks

Customers of other banks can freely withdraw and deposit cash at VTB ATMs, informed bank. Previously, the limit was up to 100 thousand rubles. for one operation.
The bank explained this decision by an increase in the number of such transactions. Since the beginning of 2023, their number has increased by a third. The bank’s statement does not specify whether restrictions on transactions with other currencies have been lifted.
“After the lifting of restrictions, even greater demand is expected for everyday transactions in our ATMs,” said Sergey Panyushkin, Deputy Head of the Instruments Development Department.
As of September 6, VTB has 14 thousand ATMs in more than 1.5 thousand settlements of the country. Together with other members of the group – 20 thousand.
Since February 2023, VTB, Otkritie and RNKB have removed restrictions for clients of partner banks. Clients of VTB, Otkritie and RNKB can withdraw and deposit cash without commissions at ATMs of all three credit institutions. This was the first stage in the integration of Otkritie and RNKB banks into the VTB Group. In December 2022, VTB bought all the assets of Otkritie Bank for RUB 340 billion. The head of VTB Andrey Kostin said that the process of merging Otkritie Bank into VTB will take 1.5 – 2 years.
