Despite the death of the artistic director of the Volkov Theater in Yaroslavl, Sergei Puskepalis, it was decided not to interrupt the festival, which he opened last Saturday. This was reported to us by the press service of the theater.
“We decided to continue working: after all, the festival is Sergey’s business, he supported him, tried to organize everything so that everyone was happy,” Ekaterina Ankudinova, head of the public relations department, told MK. – Today, according to the program, a theater from Sukhumi is performing, it will show “The Gambler”.
A terrible coincidence lies in the fact that at this performance the Requiem will be performed by the local choir. The eternal music of Mozart is heard in the performance not because of a terrible tragedy – this is how the director intended. But in order not to carry a separate choir from Abkhazia, they turned to the choir from Yaroslavl. Now “Requiem” will be performed according to Sergey Puskepalis and his driver Alexander Sinitsyn.
