Businessman Alexander Govor, who owns the Vkusno i Tochka fast food chain, has acquired the Russian assets of Havi Logistics, a food logistics company.

Havi Logistics was founded by Ted Perlman and Bob Rock in 1976. Since that time, the corporation has been cooperating with McDonald’s. The company currently provides its services in 45 countries. In Russia, Havi Logistics was represented by OOO Rulog founded in 2003. In addition to McDonald’s, the company also cooperated with IKEA, which left Russia, and companies in the energy and oil and gas sectors – British Petroleum (BP), Equinor (formerly Statoil), OMV.
After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, a number of the world’s largest companies announced their withdrawal from the Russian market. In particular, McDonald’s closed restaurants in Russia on March 14, and on May 16 announced its final withdrawal from Russia. As a result, the Russian business “McDonald’s” was sold to the local licensee Alexander Govor and received the name “Tasty – and that’s it.” The company reserved the opportunity to buy back the business within 15 years, Govor said in an interview with Vedomosti.
