Vitol completed the sale of a stake in Vostok Oil

The Swiss-Dutch oil trading company Vitol Group has announced the completion of a deal to withdraw from the Vostok Oil project. The amount of the sale was not disclosed.
The deal was agreed parties in July 2022, subject to preconditions. It took place “after all legal formalities had been completed,” according to the message Vital.
Vostok Oil is a Rosneft project to redirect oil from the Vankor cluster of fields through a new oil pipeline to Taimyr with further transportation along the Northern Sea Route. The project also includes the development of the Payakhskoye field and adjacent areas in Taimyr.
Vitol acquired 5% in the project in 2021. In addition to her, there was another foreign investor in Vostok Oil – a Trafigura trader. He sold his 10% stake in the project in July. The buyer was an unknown Hong Kong company, Nord Axis Limited, registered on 15 February.
