Viktor Kharitonin’s company officially became the owner of a paper mill in the Perm Territory

MKOOO “Ogment Investment Limited”, registered in Kaliningrad, became the sole founder of the Krasnokamsk LLC “Kama”, the only manufacturer of coated cardboard in the Russian Federation. Changes in the tax office registered on February 10, data show SPARK-Interfax. The beneficial owner of Ogment Investment is Viktor Kharitonin, co-owner of the pharmaceutical holding Pharmstandard.

Earlier, Mr. Kharitonin completed the acquisition of Kama LLC (Krasnokamsk, Perm Territory), which manages the only coated cardboard production facility in Russia, from Trust Bank. According to Kommersant, the total amount of the transaction amounted to 36 billion rubles, of which 15 billion rubles is the value of the company’s assets, 21 billion rubles is the company’s debt to Otkritie Bank, whose funds were raised for the development of production. Neither Pharmstandard nor Trust commented on the deal.

At the end of 2021, the revenue of Kama LLC, according to SPARK-Interfax, amounted to 5.9 billion rubles, net profit – 1.6 billion rubles. The enterprise is the first manufacturer of coated paper in Russia and the only manufacturer of coated cardboard in the country at the moment (launched in 2021, the volume of investments in this project amounted to about 25 billion rubles).

Kama has synergies with Viktor Kharitonin’s main business: Pharmstandard structures produce more than 1.7 billion drug packs a year, and the company is a major buyer of packaging cardboard.
