Vedomosti: AliExpress may abandon its last large warehouse in Russia

Marketplace AliExpress is discussing the possibility of refusing to rent 55 thousand square meters. m in the complex “PLT Chekhov”, located on the Simferopol highway in the suburbs, reported Vedomosti with reference to sources. According to them, the company has already vacated part of the space, and it subleases the rest.
One of the interlocutors of the publication did not rule out that the marketplace would leave for its own use in Chekhov about 5,000-10,000 sq. m. m. The representative of AliExpress declined to comment. The logistics operator Professional Logistics Technologies (PLT), which owns the facility, did not comment on the information.
Aliexpress Russia is a joint venture between VK, USM International, the Chinese Alibaba Group and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The marketplace operates separately from global AliExpress (it is controlled by Alibaba Group).
