Valentina Talyzina justified herself for the words about the real patronymic of Alla Pugacheva

– What do you regret?

“Some people accuse me of anti-Semitism,” actress Valentina Talyzina tells MK. “That’s just me and offends and outrages. I lived with my husband for 12 years, with whom we have a common daughter. He, thank God, is alive, but sick. We are still celebrating the New Year together. So my husband’s dad was Mikhail Natanovich Nepomniachtchi – the first violin of the Bolshoi Theater. He studied at the school of the outstanding violinist-teacher, Pyotr Solomonovich Stolyarsky in Odessa, together with David Oistrakh. And the most interesting thing is Lenya, my husband told me that Mikhail Natanovich’s mother’s name was Tsilya. He himself laughed, well, it made me laugh a little too.

– Many were outraged that in one of your recent interviews you went personal, discussing the patronymics of Alla Pugacheva and Leah Akhedzhakova …

– I don’t care about Pugacheva’s patronymic. I only talked about the fact that they (Pugacheva and Akhedzhakova – ed.) Changed their middle names a little, faking the general background. For example, there is the actress Alisa Brunovna Freindlikh, who did not refuse either her father’s surname or patronymic. And I personally respect and love Alice just for that. I don’t care what nationality her dad was – Italian, Swede, German – no matter who. And the important thing is that she took the name of her dad and did not change her patronymic. Here is a good guy!

And about the artist that you said (to Pugachev – ed.), she somehow hid it, in general. And she says about herself that she is not a servant and not a slave. And, by the way, the act is not very good. And there can be no talk of any anti-Semitism here. Just absolutely. This is such stupidity and savagery that I am simply outraged by all those people who attribute this to me.

More recently, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center sent me matzah. Two packages. Will they send matzah if they don’t like me? And they like me!

– Which of your close people turned away from you after a scandalous interview?

Well, some of them didn’t behave very well. But what can I do? I never lie and do not ascribe to myself some qualities that I did not have.

– And who supported you?

– Tolechka, you look at the comments and you will see. You are the first journalist who called and asked about my experiences. By the way, I am very grateful to everyone who responded and agreed with me. They wrote such words! I thank them very much for their support.

Do you want me to tell you an episode of life from the Soviet past, about which I did not tell anyone? It happened in the late 90s. I had a friend Lera Zakharova, she had a friend Yasha Gorshtein, but he was recorded as Yasha Golikov. So we lived together with them on the same floor, unfortunately, now they are gone. We were very friendly. Once I came to visit them, they gave me a taste of matzah. I say “God, what a charm! This bread is thin without any yeast. Where is it for sale? They say – “Well, it’s only in the synagogue.” A! I think I’ll go and buy this bread! I went into the synagogue, there were few people there, I saw a woman standing behind the counter. I approached her, greeted her, and she told me, “Oh, you are from the Mossovet Theatre, I love this theater, I love Plyatt, I love Maretskaya. And you! And she listed all the performances that she had seen with my participation. I told her, “Yes, thank you, thank you! Will you sell me this matzah?” She says, “Honey, we don’t sell her, we get her in parcels from Israel. Well, don’t you have any close Jewish relatives?” I called my husband, whose father was a Jew, I say: “But he already left me and went to another woman.” She – “But it’s okay, it’s good! Do you remember his birthday?”, I answer “Yes, of course”. – “Well, that’s all, you will receive matzah from Israel.” She wrote down my ex-husband’s middle name, birthday and other data. And this synagogue is near my house. And I began to go every month for this parcel from Israel. In addition to matzah, they also sent some sweets in it.

So after that, my friend said to me, “Talyzina, here you are, a swindler! I am a Jew and do not receive parcels from Israel, but you are Russian and receive them.” But then this lafa ended. Matzah came only at Easter.

– As if in retaliation, colleagues in the shop began to say that you “modestly keep silent” the name of your mother, that your maternal grandfather bore the name Morozov and was related to the fate of the pioneer Pavlik Morozov. What’s the secret?

– I don’t have any secrets. I am very proud of my mom. Her last name is Doula. This is a Ukrainian surname. They are pure Ukrainians! What “Morozov” in general from the side-baked? And why would I lie to you? Although Morozov is a decent surname, and Dulya – excuse me, “dulya”. In Ukrainian – “pear”. My mother was born already in Siberia. But by blood she is a pure Ukrainian.

My great-grandfather and my grandfather in 1906, under the Witte reform, left for Siberia – the Omsk region, the Sherbakulsky district, and founded the village of Bugaevka there. Grandfather’s name was Trifon, and great-grandfather Trofim, and they had the surname Dulya. No secret.

When my father, at odds with my mother, he told me five years old, “Valya, don’t change your last name.” I didn’t like my last name. I didn’t like the “y” in it. And then I got used to it, and when I found out the origin of my Tatar surname, I even liked it. Vanga said that heaven does not like it when a person changes his name or surname given to him at birth.

– Did you manage to communicate with Vanga?

– No. Unfortunately, we did not see her. But I have read a lot about her. Then she went to Bulgaria, to Petrichi. In general, I know a lot about her.

– How do you live, are you invited to film?

– Yesterday I played a play where I have the main role. And we have, by the way, every performance packed. If you were at that applause yesterday, I’m even embarrassed to talk about it, but it was something. We have a great show. And all the artists love this performance, because it is Ostrovsky. This is real drama. At the Theatre. Moscow City Council, I always played only the main roles.

– But you had few main roles in the cinema, so you were called the “queen of the second plan”, although without a doubt – you made any episode bright and memorable.

– Honey, I played the main roles in the movie. Ksenia Larina, who now lives in Portugal, says that I only have episodic roles and nothing more. Not true! I have starred in a number of films. In “Marriage” I have one of the main roles. Why should I justify myself to this Larina now?

– Since childhood, I was delighted with your heroine Varvara the housekeeper in the 1985 film “After the Rain on Thursday”. What movie roles are most often remembered by your fans?

– Many people love my role in “Zigzag of Fortune” (chairman of the local committee, receptionist of the photo studio Alevtina Vasilievna (1968) – ed.). And I adored Nina Skuybina, who was the second wife of Eldar Alexandrovich (Ryazanov – ed.). And she loved me. I just admire this woman. And when she was near Eldar Alexandrovich, and on the other side was Braginsky (screenwriter Emil Braginsky – ed.), then Eldar Alexandrovich made his masterpieces. “The Irony of Fate” has been on New Year’s Eve in Russia for 47 years.

– And you watch it every year?

No, I don’t watch every year. For what? Sometimes I watch it, sometimes I don’t.
