The revenue of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) at the end of 2023 amounted to 400 billion rubles, said the general director of the corporation Andrei Puchkov at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy. According to USC estimates, in the period from 2024 to 2035, the Russian fleet will need to produce or replace about 2.3 thousand vessels. “If you look at the condition of our merchant and auxiliary fleets, we believe that 2.3 thousand vessels require replacement or additional production during this period of time,” said Andrei Puchkov. The consolidated order plan for this period, according to him, is 780 vessels. Last year, USC delivered 25 vessels to civilian customers, which was a record. In 2024 the corporation plans increase the number of such vessels to 36.

USC is Russia’s largest shipbuilding company, responsible for the construction of almost all military ships and most civilian vessels. Since September 2023, USC has been transferred to the trust management of VTB.
