US Treasury allowed Transcapitalbank to conduct transactions with Afghanistan

Transcapitalbank (TKB), which came under US sanctions in April 2022, will be able to conduct operations with Afghanistan until January 18, 2023 (the previous license obliged TKB to curtail all operations with Afghanistan until October 20 of this year). TKB was included in the SDN list of the US Treasury on April 20. Then the organization said that the restrictions imposed affect only for transactions related to counterparties from the USA. Transcapitalbank is 100% owned by Investtorgbank, in April TKB planned to apply to the US Treasury Department to obtain separate licenses to work with banks in Asian countries.
