US aviation authorities named the reason for the depressurization of the Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced the results of its investigation into the emergency landing of a Boeing 737-9 MAX passenger aircraft on January 6. The agency notes that NTSB Chairman Jennifer Homendy told reporters about the need to find the detached hatch in order to establish details of the emergency landing. Today, January 8, a school teacher named Bob found a manhole in the backyard of his home in Portland, in the Cedar Hills area.
“Our team will inspect all components of the door, look for marks, look for any paint transfer. He will study what shape the door was when it was found. This will tell us a lot about what happened,” said Jennifer Homendy, noting that she was “very pleased” that part of the plane had been found.
On January 6, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX passenger plane en route from Portland to Ontario made an emergency landing at its departure airport after the aircraft’s emergency exit hatch fell off. There were 171 passengers and 6 crew on board the plane. No harm done. Alaska Airlines has suspended flights on 65 aircraft of this type.
