Ukraine will raise tariffs for pumping oil through Druzhba by 18.3% from 2023

From January 1, 2023, Kyiv will raise the tariff for oil transportation through the Ukrainian section of the Druzhba pipeline in the direction of Slovakia and Hungary by €2.1, to €13.6 per 1 ton. The price will increase by 18.3%. This is reported TASS with reference to Transneft data.
In November, Ukrtransnafta sent a letter to the Russian operator Transneft, wrote Bloomberg. It said that Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure led to a shortage of electricity and fuel, as well as an increase in its cost. In the letter, the company announced its intention to raise the tariff by €2.1. The official representative of Transneft, Igor Demin, then confirmed receipt of the letter and said that the company was preparing an appeal to government agencies.
The last time Ukraine raised the price for transportation via Druzhba was in April of this year, from €8.6 to €11.5 per ton.
In November, against the backdrop of attacks on infrastructure, Kyiv stopped oil transit to Hungary via Druzhba.
